1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and understand how you interact with the site.
2. How We Use Cookies
DoodleSnap uses the following types of cookies:
Essential Cookies
These are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They include:
- Authentication cookies — Keep you signed in to your account (set by Supabase Auth).
- Preference cookies — Store your theme preference (light/dark mode) and cookie consent choice.
Analytics Cookies (Optional)
These help us understand how visitors use DoodleSnap so we can improve the experience. They are only loaded if you accept cookies in our consent banner.
- Google Analytics 4 — Collects anonymous usage data such as pages visited, time spent, and device type. Google may transfer data outside the EU under standard contractual clauses.
Google Privacy Policy - Microsoft Clarity — Records anonymous session replays and heatmaps to help us identify usability issues. No personally identifiable information is captured.
Microsoft Privacy Statement
3. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
When you first visit DoodleSnap, a cookie consent banner appears at the bottom of the screen with three options:
- Accept all — enables Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
- Decline all — only essential (sign-in/session) cookies are used.
- Customize — toggle Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity independently.
Essential cookies cannot be disabled — they are required for sign-in and core functionality.
To change your preference later, clear your browser's local storage for doodlesnap.app, and the consent banner will appear again on your next visit.
You can also configure your browser to block all cookies or delete existing cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent you from signing in.
4. Third-Party Cookies
We do not sell data collected through cookies. Analytics data is shared only with Google (for GA4) and Microsoft (for Clarity) to provide their analytics services. No advertising cookies or tracking pixels are used.
5. Data Retention
Essential cookies expire when your session ends or after 30 days of inactivity. Analytics data is retained according to Google's and Microsoft's respective data retention policies.
6. Contact Us
