1. Introduction

DoodleSnap ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information.

2. Data We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up via OAuth (e.g., Google), we receive your email address, display name, and profile picture URL. This data is stored in our database (Supabase).

Uploaded Images

Photos you upload are stored in encrypted cloud storage (Supabase Storage). They are sent to third-party AI providers (via OpenRouter, which may route to Google Gemini, OpenAI, or other models) for processing into coloring pages.

Generated Images

AI-generated coloring pages are stored alongside your source images. Both are associated with your account (or anonymous session ID for non-registered users).

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Dodo Payments (our Merchant of Record). We do not store credit card numbers or payment method details. We store subscription status, customer IDs, and payment event metadata for account management.

Usage Data

We track generation counts, tier limits, and feature usage server-side for billing and rate limiting.

3. Cookies & Analytics

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Collects anonymous usage metrics including page views, events, and general demographics. Uses cookies. Google Privacy Policy.
  • Microsoft Clarity: Records anonymous session replays and heatmaps to help us improve the user experience. Uses cookies. Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Essential cookies (authentication session) are required for the Service to function. Analytics cookies help us improve the product.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide the coloring page generation service
  • To manage your account and subscription
  • To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse
  • To improve the Service through analytics
  • To communicate important account or service updates

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Third-Party Data Sharing

Your data may be shared with:

  • AI Providers (via OpenRouter): Uploaded images are sent for AI processing. These providers process images according to their own privacy policies.
  • Supabase: Database and storage hosting provider.
  • Dodo Payments: Payment processing and subscription management.
  • Vercel: Application hosting provider.
  • Google / Microsoft: Analytics services (anonymized data only).

6. Data Retention

Your uploaded and generated images are stored as long as your account is active. If you delete a generation from your gallery, it is removed from our storage. Account data is retained until you request deletion.

7. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Portability: Receive your data in a portable format
  • Objection: Object to processing of your data for analytics purposes

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted storage, HTTPS for all connections, server-side API key protection, and row-level security on our database. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Children's Privacy

DoodleSnap is intended for use by adults (parents, educators, artists). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app announcement. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when changes were last made.
